The Arabic numeral hour markers are inspired directly by racing car speedometers and Formula 1 pundits will notice the reference to their favorite sport in the form of an angle above the numerals 5 and 7. These have been designed to recall the starting line on a Formula 1 circuit.

To complete this very F1 design on the theme of racing, the chrono pusher at 2 o'clock is highlighted by a red lacquered circle. Finally, a special bezel is engraved with the word “SPEED”.
